Go-To Swaybar Setup?
Went to an autocross event for the first time the other day (chickened out on running ha) and it occurred to me that I haven't done anything about my swaybars. From a road racing/autocross perspective, what's the go-to setup for swaybars on our cars? Thicker ones? Relocate them? Upgraded bracket bushings? Bushings on the front swaybar links?

Re: Go-To Swaybar Setup?
Upgraded bushings and end links will allow the stock bars to be more effective. Big changes should be made with springs and fine tuning with bars. Trying to do too much with bars will take away grip from the inside tire in a corner.

Re: Go-To Swaybar Setup?
I think upgrading the end links with poly bushings is good enough up front.
However, the front isn't the main handling concern with these cars. Its the back end that needs a lot of help.

Re: Go-To Swaybar Setup?
I had Steeda bars on my car and loved them. The front was a larger stock-style replacement with better bushings ans end links.
The rear, you keep the stock bar and add Steeda's supplemental adjustable rear bar. that made a monumental difference in the handling characteristics of the car. It wasn't until then that the front and rear actually felt "connected" http://www.steeda.com/steeda-adjusta...aybar-006-470/

Re: Go-To Swaybar Setup?
not sure. i had a Fore diff cover on my car and that needed to be clearanced a bit to fit. Let me see if i can dig a photo of it. maybe that will help determine if it'll fit.

Dang, Pete! Those are quite the setups! That's almost exactly how I'll have mine once I graduate and can start spending more time/money on it.
Thanks everyone else for the replies! Something about a microwave with wifi and Tapatalk.

Re: Go-To Swaybar Setup?
Swaybars are really a tuning device, ideally. I have a Steeda front bar on mine since I ran F-stock my first autox season and it was all I could to do bandaid the garbage front geometry.
