Re: New guy on the search for a Mach
Any particular color or year? What's your price range and are you looking to stay local or willing to travel?

Re: New guy on the search for a Mach
I don't really have a particular color that i'm looking for. I always have black cars but figured i might venture away with my toy purchase!
Looking for a 2003-2004 no more than 12k but again not beat to hell either. I will travel or ship from anywhere...although i'm skeptical about cali cars being slower with all of the smog/emissions tests. |

Re: New guy on the search for a Mach
every vehicle sold in every state is Cali emissions legal, all Mach1s regardless of where they were sold should put down the same power.
it may help to specify auto or stick if you have a preference

Re: New guy on the search for a Mach
Welcome and good luck. You can find a Mach in good shape for $12k, but you just have to be ready to not expect low miles. You can find something in the 90-100k range for sure though. Maybe a little lower.
This for example: http://charlotte.craigslist.org/cto/5198364850.html |

Re: New guy on the search for a Mach
I found a 04 DSG in New Bern, at a car lot. It was listed on cargurus site. The asking price was $10,900 I think. It needed some interior TLC but not a bad looking car. I called about it and the carfax was clean. Good luck with finding one. It is a very fun car to drive.

Re: New guy on the search for a Mach
I feel your pain.....the search can take time. I looked all over and found a 2003 Mach 1 with under 14k miles. It was a few extra bucks, but knowing it was not beat, and had the chit ran out of it was worth the money to me. I used a site called "searchtempest" and narrowed the search within so many miles and searched "MACH !" and found it. Good luck to ya!

Re: New guy on the search for a Mach
Welcome and good luck with your search. It may be a little far for you but a friend of mine is selling his (I don't know why) and I've seen and ridden in this Mach many times, it's extremely clean!

Re: New guy on the search for a Mach
I may be looking to sell mine in the near future to purchase a Boss 302. 58k on the clock, interior is about as close to perfect as you are going to get. No scuffs on the driver seat side bolster as you would find in almost all of them. I condition the leather and apply trim protectant to everything twice per year. A few touch up spots on the paint from a previous owner, but other than that the paint is in good shape.
Mod list in sig. I didn't cheap out on any parts. A few other odds and ends in addition to what is listed (poly steering rack bushings, shorty antenna etc). The bilstein shocks are pre-grooved; if you wanted to do a coil-over conversion they can be re-used. All of the aftermarket parts have 10k miles or less on them. Still have almost all of the original parts which would be included in the sale. The only big piece missing is the original cat back. Would come with the original wheels as well. The car has never had slicks on it. Only took it to the strip once with the original tires (bone stock when I first bought the car). Did 10 passes and that was it. The original clutch is still in great shape. No issues with the trans, shifts like new. Always use Amsoil 5w30 oil. All fluids replaced regularly. If you would like some pictures shoot me a pm. Keep in mind I'm still debating selling it. Also, would need the right offer.
