Boycott Citgo?

I for one will...I normally do not get fuel from there, But I will never do it again. 7-11 announced that they will not renew contracts with citgo next month and will change their signs. I wonder if it is a smoke screen. How would we know the differrence. I think fuel should be dyed, one color for fuel from US oil other colors for fuel from Arab and South American oil.

Cool.
I also refuse to purchase Citgo fuel.
My old red car ran like crap on it anyway.

Chevron is one of a few that meets the "Top Tier" standard. Check out www.toptiergas.com

I'm kind of surprised that BP isn't on that list considering they use Amoco fuels. For decades, Amoco 93 has been considered the best. I guess I'll switch to QT.

Re: Boycott Citgo?

QT is what my Mach has got most of the time since new. My F-150 gets QT or BP, sometimes Mobil. The F-150 seems to get better mileage with BP. On the gas cap of the 06 GT it says " Ford recomends BP". Went on vacation about a mo. ago and got 28 mpg with the GT (5 spd automatic) running 80 mph most of the time. Filled it with BP.

Re: Boycott Citgo?

There's some here in Ma. that want to have Fenway Park remove the Citco sign from the stadium (somewhat of a landmark) in Boston and replace it with an American flag. I'm an old time traditionalist, but I'm all for it.

Re: Boycott Citgo?

Ironically, I understand that all of our military bases have Citgo stations on them.

So basically, if push comes to shove with Venezuela's Chavez, our soldiers will ultimately be helping to fund the military they'd be fighting. Something's got to be done about this! Our government contracts with Citgo must STOP NOW!

Re: Boycott Citgo?

Mine runs best on Shell, but I haven't tried BP Amoco yet.
I did notice in one of my old cars
that it ran better on Mobil when I used Mobil 1 oil.

I'm all for that too!

Did you know that the Citgo sign is actually the property of the Landmark Commision, and we as tax payers are paying for the electricity for that commie sign? All the while Citgo is getting free advertizing!

Tear it down!

Or maybe one of "those people" who hate the pope will strap on a "special jacket"
and stand by the base of the sign.
