Exclamation ANOTHER Procharger help thread....please assist!

Hey Everyone- my procharger install is coming along, and I have a few big problems. First the supplied belt seems too short, as I cant quite get it over the final pulley- SO what length belt is everyone running on a D1 unit, with the 4.15" pulley???

Finally- I have what appears to be a temperature sensor and wire coming out of the fan unit RIGHT in front of the head unit opening, and there is NO WAY to get the inlet tube on there. DO I have to relocate this sensor, or do I just have a FUBARD fan setup. PLEASE HELP! THanks guys!

Re: ANOTHER Procharger help thread....please assist!

If you read Beefy Nugs Procharger thread he is went through all the crap your going through now. What I did is cut the sensor off the fan shroud with a dremel. I then cut about an 1 1/2" of plastic away from the side of the sensor and positioned it in the same place with a tie rap. I am posting pics of this tomorrow on Beefy's thread I can post them on yours if you want.

Yep I ended up going with a 111.025" belt, and removed the sensor and repositioned it below the head unit on the fan with ties....what a little PITA lol. All is going well now though...just need to get my fuel stuff done and tune from Rick @ Amazon.

Maybe I'm reading that wrong, but that seemed kind of sarcastic. Is his setup not what you think or having Rick tune it? Or am I just reading into your post wrong.

Why is your hp/torque so low? I have a p1 with less boost and my hp is almost the same and torque a lot higher.

Re: ANOTHER Procharger help thread....please assist!

Ive been a member here since 04 and have almost 1000 post, I know what the search feature is and use it extensively. Sometimes, like per say if I have a lot of other things to do like today, and I already have a thread going that has received minimal positive contributions I feel it easier to simply ask another question and see if someone can answer it for me (purpose of this forum isn't it?). I have seen a multiplicity of answers for what to plug this hole with such as "Vacuum Plug, Hose end, tube end" etc yet still haven't found any descriptive pictures or a link to where I can actually BUY or even see this thing...

I apologize for coming across like a short tempered A-hole back there, but It has been a very hard, long, exhausting weekend (and beginning of this week) and im looking for answers on this forum. If I had a penny for every minute of my life I have spent shifting through the endless pages of search returns here I wouldn't have to worry about this at all because i'd just pay someone else to install this darn blower for me

I used the rubber anti skid coasters found on the bottom of kitchen chairs. Find the right size at your local hardware. Just slip them over the plug. Get some tight ones.

I have a stalled auto and a very mild tune. With a stick both figures would have increased by about 50. Also he did not lock the coverter. I would be around 470HP and 420TQ respectively with a stick.

Wow...didn't expect that reaction. I wasn't being a jerk with my reply either.

I installed the same thing and went thru the same issues with no help from anybody. I searched and figured it out. Sorry for not having sympathy for you. Some people try and give up, some people try and try harder. That's all it is. Good luck with your install.

Ah thats a good idea! I ended up spending an hour at home depot walking the isles and settled on a copper piping plug that fits within the stock rubber extension protruding from the intake and used two small hose clamps to cinch both ends down. Should be good to go
