I have my concerns about the number in the pic. They look as if they were engraved on the cam instead of being stamped on like the numbers in the 3rd pic you sent. Maybe someone else can confirm these are true numbers on the cam. ???

The cam numbers on my 98 cams were wrappedaround the cam like in the third picture you posted. Like you, I would be skeptical about what looks like etchings in the first picture. Are there any other markings?
