advancing timing
What mixture of 93 pump and turbo blue is needed so I can advance timing all the way?
1 gal 93 +1 gal turbo blue? 1 gal 93 + 2 gal turbo blue? Just trying to squeeze everything I can n/a and I think it will help to allow me to spray a 150 shot......

Advance timing to what? Just because you have the octane to run 27+ degees of timing doesn't mean thats what's best for making power.

Re: advancing timing
I don't know anything about turbo blue, but you probably just need a 1/5 ratio of 93/C16 to run all the timing you could ever want on a mostly stock car.

Re: advancing timing
Btw, I meant 5:1 ratio.
as in 5 gallons of 93 and 1 gallon of C16. |

Every car is different my 04 made the most peak power @27 degrees of timing but made more power through the entire band with 25 degrees.
My 03 it didn't make a difference it made the same power with 24 and 27. I guess if your wanting to eek out every last ounce of power, sit on a dyno and play with the timing till you find the sweet spot. Sent from my PG41200

Re: advancing timing
Adding race gas to a low compression combo like yours, which I assume is a stock longblock combs, will add little hp. The most I've seen gained by race gas and additional timing is 12rwhp, but thats going form 91 octane to turbo blue. IMO the cost of the fuel and the tune to isn't worth the minimal gain.

Re: advancing timing
A few years ago, I had a second tune done for a full tank of 103 octane fuel. On a mostly stock motor, I gained 5.6 rwhp and 6.2 ft. torque over 92 octane pump gas. Given the added cost of 103, I don't think I ever used it.

Re: advancing timing
Yep... a few gas tanks full and you could have bought a mod that gave you more power than that.... permanently.

Re: advancing timing
Exactly - it was so obvious, I could do that math in my head.
