Engine back out

428 is back out of the 70'..tearing down next week.....hope to have it back on the road before it needs Snow Tires..........

Look at this way Chris, you're keeping miles off of the Mach and enjoying the A/C the Shelby has.

All kidding a side, you doing a complete rebuild again or just fixing what is damaged?

Whatever it needs ..It was running **** good until the Cam Bearing issue...

Think the cam issue was caused by the oil leak?

The likely culprit was the oil pressure relief valve when it stuck 3 years ago & **** out all the oil on the way work & set up a Cam Bearing for failure...Looks to be about 120 Beer project with some Bayer Asprin thrown in for good measure...& yeah,Itll be done right & back at Carlisle next year!

Nah.original block,,(1) sleeve from a broken connecting rod racing a Camaro in 1980...(Beat him !)..Stock Crank, Stock Heads( Ported ,Hardened Seats), Original Stock Holley 735, Roller Cam, Harland Sharp Roller Rockers,Rocker Arm End Stands..532 HP at the Crank last rebuild,,,,

Well the Cam Bearing didn't spin..just kinda flaked & shed apart...Need a new Cam,Cam Bearings, a couple of Roller lifters & new Main Bearings but no machine work.

Reminds me...My old 69 Mustang 390 FE had block oiling issues too. I sent it to Holman and Moody engine builders and they fixed it.
