First eaton numbers!

So finnally after a year of building the car and working through countless issues finnally got the car 100% tuned.

455rwhp and 515rwtrq with the 4#lower and 2.76 upper.

I think i'll need the manual tensioner or a different pulley combo as around 3800 rpm i start to get belt slip. First couple pulls on street before tune it hit 17-18#/s now my belt is not as robust and it hit's about 14-16#s at the tune. You could really smell the belt burning, I'd like to see over 500 in the hp range. I'll post pic's tmr.

Re: First eaton numbers!

455 and 515 are sweet numbers , once you bet that belt slipping fixed you should be around 500.

Re: First eaton numbers!

Your overspinning the blower with that combo. You need to switch to a 2.93 upper. Trust me on this. The Eaton can only be spun so much. Manuel tensioner is not necessary for belt slip. I make 25 lbs. with the stock tensioner. Do you have the stock idlers still and in what position?

Re: First eaton numbers!

Yeah i wanted the 2.93 and ill get on i just got conned into the 2.76 by some cobra guys i'll pick it up after just a while. You can deffinalty smell belt at high rpms. and its all over my pullies.\

As far as the idle i actually bought a full kit from lightning force performance. It had all of the idlers, alternator puller and intercangable upper and lowers it was about a 700$ kit.

I'll post pics when i get off work between 3-5 unless i hit up the track then it'l be this evening. I had the eaton and all the engine components powder coated it's blingin

Either that or add tensioners and port the blower. LOL

Re: First eaton numbers!

Well, I'm definately jealous of the eaton set-up you have. Wish I could do that swap. Why are so many people having problems with belt slip?? I want a supercharger but am hearing that belt slip is the issue. You'd think they would engineer these things better. Is there a kit out there with no problems?? If there is that's what I'm going with no matter the cost.

Re: First eaton numbers!

Just got back from the track Slip is horrible after the initial spike, it was only making 12#'s of boost. The belt was done. With the issue it did run a 11.70 @115 with a 1.55 60' time.

Trust me when set up correctly belt slip should not be an issue on any blower.

^^ I agree. Mine doesn't slip at all. When I bring the boost up I'm going to an eight rib and there still should not be any slip.
