When I head south past the 49th parallel, I only use Sunoco myself.
If I am unable to find one, my 2nd choice is BP.
I will guarantee I personally will not use Citgo from now on when I head to your country.
:ORANGE:

eidt 1: I honestly do not believe I ever have actually.
I do not recall them having a higher than 91 octane @ the pump anyway.

Re: Boycott Citgo?

I thought we hashed this out months ago. I haven't bought fuel from them in along time. But there doesn't seem to be that many of thier stations in this area.

Re: Boycott Citgo?

What I am worried about is that some oil co will still buy the gas from them and distribute it under another name...This is the reason that I believe it should be color coded.

Nobody finds it suspicious that the site mentioned above has no references to studies or links to who owns it?

A whois turns up National Products Group, an advertising agency in OK. While I don't doubt the benefits of top tier gasoline, I don't believe that list to be all inclusive...unless all the refiners are on their client list.

And BTW, back on topic...I don't buy gas from Citgo, but I do stop at 7-11 on occasion for a Slurpee.

Re: Boycott Citgo?

Boycotting that Venezuela Dictator's Citgo gas is the BEST way for the little guy to really make an impact on this jerk. He thinks he can come to this country; toot his horn like he did and leave like the 'big dog', hah!!!

I don't use Amoco for one reason. In this area it is not uncommon to see an Exxon or Shipley/Humble (still Exxon) tanker dumping fuel at an Amoco station! Amoco super premium (white gas?) used to be good stuff and unique. We used to buy it years ago and use it the same as the white gas (Coleman fuel) in your gas lanterns; it was that pure. I would never try that now since Exxon dumps there; you'd probably blow yourself up! Is it still 'white' gas or has that went by the wayside?

Re: Boycott Citgo?

Yep, quit some time ago when I heard this. I never used their gas anyway and back when I heard this, I wouldn't frequent their mini marts either. I'm over Citgo.

Re: Boycott Citgo?

There was a news story that 7-11 wouldn't renew their contract with Citgo, which happens to expire soon...not soon enough for me. Oh, wait we don't have 7-11's here...still, good for them!
