Test drove new 2011 GT

Found this link at Mustangsource, Guy went to local dealer, and was allowed to test drive the 5.0 already

Hey..nice but... They have not even been released by Ford yet. Look at the plates,Michigan. This is a promotion car that was sent out to be seen..all the way to Flordia.

Re: Test drove new 2011 GT

Looks like i might be making the 5 hour trip to Gainesville this weekend...lol

I am on the fence on these cars, love the power but it still has the S197 European styling that doesn't scream muscle car.

Sadly, they will be faster than a stock mach 1. No doubt about that.

At least we have rare cars that look sick. How do you think the people feel who bought 2010 GT's a few months ago when they were selling at MSRP.

All of this just gives you extra motivation to make sure you get to 400hp. Ours still look better regardless.

You could always run a 200 shot on your motor. Then when you blow the motor. Drop one of those new 5.0s in there. Best of both worlds.

Re: Test drove new 2011 GT

I have about $7K left from the sale of my truck after buying My Mach and i was planning on putting it down on the 2011 GT as a daily driver but I just can't get over the Euro styling. 2005 - UP is not a muscle car in my opinion it is a Lexus with an American V8. No offense to anybody out there who owns one, it is still a powerful machine but i think they went in the wrong direction. I am praying for a revival of the SN95 platform for the 2014, they don't have money or time to start from scratch so you never know, I just hope they don't stay with the S197 for the 50th Anniversary.

Re: Test drove new 2011 GT

I think the new GT will be faster, so what! It's a Mustang not some rice burner. For 2003-04 our cars were not the fastest Mustang it was the Cobra, our Mach's were cool yesterday, today and will be tomorrow.
