Re: plugs for 150hp nos

Thanks everyone ill grab those tr6 plugs, gap them smaller to what around .035? Also, you guys stillrunning stock fuel pump and coils or have you upgraded either ? My combo is mild bolt ons other than the 150 shot so I figured both would still work, thoughts?

Re: plugs for 150hp nos

Im usinge the stock coils. I'm running an aeromotive stealth 340 fuel pump spraying a 175 shot. I highly recommend this pump it's cheaper than any other pump you can buy and it will support more power than a focus or a GT pump ever dreamed of. It's not a plug and play pump though there is some trimming you have to do on the stock bucket but IMO it's worth it.

I run ngktr6. I have a Ford gt pump. Works good but I don't trust it enough to push it any harder. I'm running an nx 125

Re: plugs for 150hp nos

Would upgrading to a 255 lph in tank pump be sufficient?

Some have made good power with the focus pump, if you do go that route do the wiring upgrade as well.

Re: plugs for 150hp nos

i just ran the zex plugs when i was running nitrous

i would think though not sure for nitrous but the NGK TR6 vpower power would work fine, alot cheaper than the zex ones

Re: plugs for 150hp nos

you definatly have to upgrade your pump.. my car with a 150NX wet shot would run the pump dry.. I had good AFR. but the rail pressure would drop down to 24PSI..not good not to mention the notorious lean spike when the unit activates.. but you'll get that with the new pump also..

I don,t recall the exact numbers.. but peak torque was like 545 or so and I think hp was 480..I can check tomorrow..

the fuel pump in the fuel cell is rated at 155lph.. I believe its the stock pump off a 98 cobra

Are you running a stand alone? Are you on pump gas?

Me, yes a stand alone 1 gallon.. in testing i ran 91 in there.. but the idea was to put 100 in it.. but not sure if its needed.. It got rid of the lean spike and the surging i used to get going down the track...

By adding the stand alone you got rid of those problems?

One step colder should be fine. I've used NGK before they weren't any better than autolite honestly.

Re: plugs for 150hp nos

I'm not sure why but I had problems with autolites fouling out on my truck I had a 03 f150 with the 5.4 and that truck burnt up plugs and coils like crazy. My company truck has the 5.4 as well and it does the same thing except I use motorcraft in it and it hasn't been a much of an issue. I don't know if the plugs were the issue or not but I know when I swapped my 03 back to motorcraft it cut the issue in half. Now when it rains game over both trucks miss like crazy.
