engine tick question

I bought my mach 1 with 77k on it had a slight tick in number 7 cylinder and now it has 99k on it and I don't think there is any difference in the tick form then to now. I can here it when I go though a drive through because it echoes off the building other than that I have to really listen to hear it. my question is whats going to happen to this engine? is it going to drop a valve or start missing on that cylinder or what?

Re: engine tick question

I think must of us have had this problem. Put higher quality gas in it and it will go away. I had that problem for 2 years until I started putting Shell gas only in it. After a few fill up's it went away. Now I only get Shell. If you search I am sure you will find many dicussions regarding this topic.
