Anyone using bama tuning w/ Nitrous??? - 2003-04 Mach 1 Registry Owners Club

I had my N/X wet-100 shot installed right before I left and never had time to fill up the bottle and throw it on the dyno. When I return home I am going to get it filled up and thrown on the local dyno at HHP racing. They use a dyno-jet. They don't deal with a lot of mustang tuning, but I have met their tuner and he is very professional and knowledgeable. Just ordered all the parts to get the rear-end built and picked up a SCT SF3/X3 handheld tuner w/ 3 free Custom Bama Tunes. I guess my question is. Has anyone used thier e-mailed tunes for nitrous applications? I am a little worried that the fuel/timing may not be right, but I do have faith they will shut it down in time if things start to go awry. Thanks.

if the tuner knows what he is doing than he will shut it down. i would still be concern unless you have delt with em before and that trust is there
the thing is if you do a bama tune and something is off on the dyno then your just going to have to get a custom tune from them anyways, so why don't you just get the SCT tuner and let the tuner go ahead and do you a custom tune for it. you are pretty much do that but its going to cost alittle more to have the custom tune and i really think it would be the wise choice to have a custom tune done for it

I am not worried about a custom tune right now. This shop has only been open down here for about a year or so and they do not have SCT tuning capabilities, they are working on it but just not there yet. They mostly deal with hemi's/LS motors. I am only asking if anyone has done an e-mail tune from BAMA yet, I will get a custom tune later on.

Bama tunes suck. Free tunes for life because it will take them that long to get it right.

I had a bama nitrous tune on my car when i was ruuning my 100wet shot with a set of zex plugs it did great i wasvery pleased with it

That is good to know. Did you have anyproblems at all with the A/F ratio or timing?

....Cuz thats exactly what the info sheets that come with kits say ..2 degrees for every 50 shot of Nitrous! Get an A/F meter !
