What all do I need
My plan is to get 18" inch rims with H and R ss springs and MM cc plates. Now, I have been told I need new shocks and struts also with that?? I want to do things right, but am also on a limited budget. Are the shocks and struts necessary?

I'd like to know this as well. I've already got the springs and CC plates, should I be looking into replacing the shocks and struts asap? Also, with the stock shocks and struts should I be running the 2 long and 1 short spacer above or below the plates?

Re: What all do I need
You could keep your stock struts& shocks for a while but they will wear out,but it could by you some time to save for the struts&shocks you really wan't.

Re: What all do I need
The stockers are not designed to run with lowering springs. As a result some have experienced premature failure.

Re: What all do I need
i had another mach 1 buddy who had the same set up on his mach, he had to roll the rear fender, but he was using nitto dr 315, you might want to do that, but no you don't need to change the shock and strut but when you get the money i would, it would be a nice suspesion upgrade for sure

Re: What all do I need
you dont have to but if you want to improve the ride then it would be a good addition to the combo.

Re: What all do I need
I have Vogtland springs on the stock struts and shocks and my car rides very poorly, really bumpy and not at all smooth.

Re: What all do I need
also if money is a conser to you i would look at the prices on the different between 17 and 18's, that is why i stuck with 17's on my mach and for DR it was going to cost a lot more, unless you got the hookup on tires i would stay away from 18's unless you got money to spend, also on 17's with 315 you don't have to roll the finder, that is another reason i got 17's.

Re: What all do I need
Agree with above, 18s look good but the cost is much more, not sure why they haven't come down to the reasonable level yet.

Re: What all do I need
I got the exact setup....HR SS Springs and MM C/C Plates and 18" wheels. At the moment, I have stock shocks and struts but plan on getting the Tokico D specs....anyways....you can run the stockers but I would def. plan on buying a new set. My rides not that bad...and I even left out all my isos. You also need to invest in some bumpsteers.
