My Wife's 2011 Mustang is home!
We picked up my wifes new 2011 Sterling Grey Metallic V6 Mustang from the dealership Friday night! We traded in her 2007 V6, and let me tell you something, this car is a few light years beyond her old one! The paint is gorgeous! The interior is amazing! The ride is great, and this car hauls the mail!
This definitely ain't your daddy's six-cylinder Mustang, that's for sure!

Pony package? I noticed the white gauge faces and grille bar as well as the tri-bar on the fenders. Very nice!

The refinment on the 11s is so unbeliveable
- No road noise - the sterring is awsome - does not ride like a buck board but still will corner like a mofo

I'm still trying to come to grips with the rear end view, but the other three quarters of the car are such a work of art, I guess I can get used to it. LOL!

Re: My Wife's 2011 Mustang is home!
Beautiful car, & congrats! My son ordered his last week, & he can't wait for it to come in. That little V6 looks like a Briggs & Stratton in that big engine bay! It's sickening in a way to think that it makes as much HP as our Machs!

Re: My Wife's 2011 Mustang is home!
Your son will love it! Yeah, there's definitely plenty of room left over in the engine bay! It's really odd to see 4-valve heads on that little six banger. I have no problem transitioning myself from my 600+ horsepower Mach 1 to the 305hp V6, it's got plenty of go to it, especially above 3500-4000 rpms!

Re: My Wife's 2011 Mustang is home!
Yeah, he test drove one with a manual, & he'd never driven a manual before. He was all excited until he killed it 8 times at one intersection! So he ordered an automatic. He's getting a black one with the MCA package, the comfort group, & nav. He's pretty psyched, & I'm glad his **** Honda will be out of my driveway!

Re: My Wife's 2011 Mustang is home!
Took the opportunity to drive a 2011 V-6 vert today.
I have to admit it ran very well. Low end was a little soft as you would expect in a heavy vert with a small displacement v-6, but nothing that I would describe as disappointing. But...when you got up on the cams this thing runs HARD. Very nice everything...Manual Coupes with some gears will be a scream... Have a new found respect for the 3.7...
