Re: Help with Vortech !

yea when the shop did mine they had a problem with that... they just called vortech and they told them to cut the 2 pipes on each side move to where they clear the pully then use a hose connector to re connect with hose clamps...... but you could probibaly call vortech and they could tell you directly. but the people that did mine did have that problem.

Re: Help with Vortech !

Nice! R U running the cooler on yours? Let us know how it pulls and maybe some #'s. The only Vortech car I have driven was an '05 that belonged to a Ford executive. It was a little slow outta the whole but power came on smooth and STRONG. The combo didn't sound that great to me but the car was completely stock otherwise. I'd like to go Vortech too mainly because it didn't whine like the Prochargers I've heard (but admittedly I've never driven a Procharger set-up just heard them @ idle and part throttle). I'm not big on the whine sound myself. I know but I just love the sound of my naturally aspirated set-up and would prefer it not sound obviously supercharged. Let me know if yours has the loud 'whine' or not. Congrads and Good-Luck!

Re: Help with Vortech !

numbers were 452rwhp and 400tourqe

none intecooled and mines quiet with a nice soft wine in the beging just enough i love the vortech kit especially since its less maintenance than the procharger since i can change the same time i change my cars oil compared to pulling the head unit out like the procharger defiantly go for vortech and i no a good person that will give you a good price just let me no thanks

Re: Help with Vortech !

No need to pull a Procharger head unit out in order to change the oil. Who ever told you that was wrong.

Good numbers, but IMHO living on the edge for a non-cooled system.
