3hrs is my guess. 4 if it includes an alignment.

Re: Labor On Shock Swap

The shocks and struts are really easy to swap out. I would consider looking up how to do it yourself unless you just absolutely wanted to a shop to do it.

Re: Labor On Shock Swap

only thing about doing the shock swap yourself is having a wrench big enough for the top strut nut and a drag link socket to keep the shaft from spinning.

That being said I swapped all that stuff out on my stepdads mustang in about an hour (having a ratcheting wrench really helps on the rear shock upper nut)

The rear shocks are really easy man. Look at some YouTube videos they'll show you step by step. With tools In hand the rear shocks should take about an hour.

if youre not used to jacking the car up and such I could see it taking 2-3 hours the first go around to do all 4 but ya, the rears should take no time at all seeing that its literally one nut on top and one nut/bolt on the bottom.

seriously though, ratcheting wrenches are a gift from god on those upper nuts (although once you break it loose a deep socket will work)

Re: Labor On Shock Swap

Easy job if you take you time and do a little homework if you haven't done this before. Hit those strut nuts with a little wd40 and and impact will make short work of them.
