Fuel gauge reads empty / fuel cut

Last week my low fuel light came of. Filled up and only needed about 8 gallons. Fuel gauge has continually read empty since. Yesterday afternoon I made a quick lane change and went to accelerate but went nowhere. This morning I recreated the hesitation/fuel cut issue accelerating when trying to accelerate mid turn when generating a decent amount of lateral force. I'm not even sure where to start with this and I'm hoping some of the wiser/more experienced members can shed some light on this for me. I'm assuming I'll have to drop the tank...

Re: Fuel gauge reads empty / fuel cut

I had similar situation and the fuel pump was the culprit.

I got the Airtex pump from Advance Auto or Autozone (it is a WalBro Pump in the box, labeled Walbro and all)

Total changeout took 2 hours with no prior experience dropping thank or fuel pump re-assembly.
