Big Electrical Problem
Driving home today in rushhour my stang had a problem.
I checked my fuse box and the power distribution box, and the fuses look good. Here's wha'ts not working 1. Windows wont roll up 2. AC does not blow cold air 3. Traction control button wont light up, so im assuming the TC doesnt work 4. Rear defogger light wont come on when i push the button 5. Radio does not work, wont even light up 6. I thing the SES light should be lighting up, but it doesnt turn on I tried a search on the forums, but its too many problems to narrow down. If my fuses are good whats up? I need a car for work!

Re: Big Electrical Problem
I would check the fuse box in the engine compartment for a blown fuse.

Re: Big Electrical Problem
yup still searching.
The 80 amp fuse that goes directly from the positive battery terminal was blown. Replaced it, and problem still not fixed. And Discount Auto closes at 10pm, so im still trying...

Re: Big Electrical Problem
If you have not ---------- disconnect the battery for awhile. See what happens when you hook it back up. I'm looking through some stuff now but

Re: Big Electrical Problem
Yeah,
its wired for the amp and my 10' sub. The fuse was blown, (prob why the radio isnt working), but still cant figure how everything else is blown. Too late and dark now to keep searching, so ill just get a friend to pick me up for work. No way im leaving my car in the lot with windows down for an 8 hr shift. At least i have the car cover to protect it, in my driveway tonight. Ill let you know where the short is, once i find it tomorrow
