I saw this too. I hope it's not true, I love Billy Mays and this story isn't showing on any of the television news programs. Granted, it is Sunday and they tend to not show a live feed of the news until around 2pm EST. But still, that's crazy and I'm really keeping my fingers crossed that it's not true.

I found him very annoying but could have lived with it. If we had to lose one of those guys Vince the shamwow guy would have been a better pick. Less hookers getting beat up.

Actually, as annoying on TV as he was, I kinda liked him and to die at 50 is just a shame. Apparently he got whacked on the head yesterday when the plane he was in blew a tire on landing. Anuerism maybe?

I agree that shamwow dude can go anytime. I sort of like the guy and my daughter used to love his commercials when she was little. He was just really hitting his stride also with his new show. On his show he seemed like a good guy, loved his mom and took care of his family.

Not to stir anything up or anything, but I think that's pretty tasteless seeing as it's only been hours since he's past. Let's please remain respectful to his family and keep the jokes out for a while? And I think that's applicable to all recent deaths...celebrity or not.

as i said to someone else, sorry if you find it in distaste, but i liked the guy and that he was superb at his job...i consider it more a tribute to what he loved and was good at

no different than if bill died, we'd all have jokes about "wonder if his mach runs in heaven" and such.
