Advanced Automotive Concepts has brought this one back to life too !
This is a famous car that holds a World Record . It will be at Pamona in Aug. 2010 and then off to the Museum . Can anyone tell me what it is and who held the record ??

No one is even close , ill give you a few hints .
Its born on date was 1927 . It holds two World Records back to back years some 20 years later . The motor was and will be a 296 Cu. in. Mercury flathead . Its original color is Yellow with a Purple stripe .

Earl Evans race team and Fred Carrillo was the driver . It set the record in 1951 at a speed of 178 and broke that record in 1952 at 180 mph . It was featured in Hot Rod magazine July of 1952 .

What story ? Frank the present owner didnt inform me of this , he is supposed to bring the actual magazine ( Hot Rod ) im going to post it along with the pics. in my new garage .
