Re: Need a rear end
Too late--I was hoping to have everything there by Tuesday, so I went with what I could get. Rear end didn't arrive til yesterday anyway. Supposedly the new carrier only has 31k on it.
Opened...

Re: girdle hits spare tire well
Stock ride height here. My girdle hit the fuel line and dented the well when I hit a bump on the freeway. I don't know if it does it any other time.

Re: Need a rear end
Just to be sure...most of the ebay listings say 79-93. Are you referring to rear ends pre- or post- redesign (1994), or is there no difference?
Edit: I am told the only difference is an ABS notch.

Need a rear end
So one of my axle tubes has separated from the differential housing. The local diff shop thinks it's probably because the rear end has been going through heating cycles, and now the hole in the...

Re: air force?
Air force deployments are generally shorter than the other services, so I guess that's a little more family friendly. The problems I witnessed with spouses usually involved the social interaction...

Re: CA Machs -- smog laws changing in 2013 (rant)
Yeah, I actually bought my car out that way, had it tuned by Haywood in Raleigh (I was quite happy with the results. Wish I could find someone out here like that). They've always had the ECM test...

Re: Got inside my 8.8....
I think .030 sounds more ball parked, for Ford gears anyway. Did you check the thickness of your original shims/shims + pinion?

CA Machs -- smog laws changing in 2013 (rant)
Legislators have passed AB2289 (http://www.leginfo.ca.gov/pub/09-10/bill/asm/ab_2251-2300/ab_2289_bill_20100924_chaptered.html) which requires OBD II testing only (no tailpipe) for vehicles 2000 and...

Aw, c'mon now. Every artist dreams a little of making it big. If they suddenly found a way to make a living through their passion, would you stop listening?
