Comin home

Hi Rex, Marty, Kevin and everyone. I'm comin back to Tulsa later this month and would like to see everyone. Got me a new knee in January and it feels great so I am able to get around easier now. Anyone interested in a meet at the old Sonic on S. Peoria the first weekend in Oct? Let me know if you are cause I will back by then.

Thanks Rex and Marty. I will contact Zac and other Tulsa Mach 1 owners when I get back to see if we can meet. Hope to see everyone soon.

Re: Comin home

Yup, still here, barely kickin. Still got Betty too. Don't know for how long though. Seriously contemplating a Mach for Terminator swap

Gotta get the rest of my parts in and on and see how I still like her, then decide where to go.

Hey Rex/Marty,

Is there any knowledgeable Mustangheads that could help an unknowledgeable poor Mustanghead, aka me, get my parts installed out that way for cheap? Easy stuff to you experienced folks, I'm sure. I am willing to pay for time and labor, and most certainly help and hopefully learn in the process.

I got now to put in:
MM powdercoated black FLSFC's (to be welded on)
FRPP AL DS
FRPP axle girdle
Moser forged 28 splines
FRPP REM finished 4.10's
torque box plates (to be welded on)
and wanna have my axle tubes welded as well

Still gotta get (to be put in at the same time with the above):
PHP intake spacer
Steeda 2 pt STB
C&L RAI
1 or maybe 2 DS oil seperators (Steeda and/or AMW catch can)
XCal flash tuner? (I don't know what's out there currently and affordable and the best that will do what I need it too/what the Xcal2 does. Isn't there an Xcal3 out or something?)

(then to the dyno for a tune. SW Tuning for that?)

Re: Comin home

It's great you're getting back to Tulsa James. I'd like to try to make it up there for a GTG...just depends on how things go down here. Did a compression/leakdown test on the '85 LX tonight and it was not good. No. 4 cylinder was toast. Boroscoped it and found a chunk out of the ring land, but the cylinder wall looked good. No wonder we were only able to run a 6.09 1/8th at the last race when we should have been well into the 5's. Gonna pull the engine and tear it down to see if we can get it ready for the next True 10.5 race at the end of the month.

One thing that is for sure about racing, you're going to break something along the way. Just part of the game. You dont like it, but it's going to happen. In our 65 we broke a new Detroit Locker and blew the clutch in one season. We added some Slide a links to fix the wheel hop and put in a built C4. No more problems.

I would like to see your Fox run a 1/4 mile in Tulsa. Have any plans to bring her to Tulsa, or maybe Thunder Valley?

If you ever make to as far as OKC, let us know and maybe we can meet you there.

Gotta pack and get ready to run from Ike. ttyl
