Anyone replace there battery yet? Mine is going on 5 years old and was thinking it might be time. I was looking at the Optima 34R 75/25. Any thoughts?

Re: Battery
I got the Ford GT battery. Mainly for the fact it says "Ford GT" on it. But it's an Optima Red top, and 4lbs lighter than stock, so that was still a plus.

Re: Battery
My stock battery will be 5 years old in November. I wanted to replace it this past spring but the guy at the dealership said it tested fine. It does'nt really get below 30 here in the wintertime so theirs really no strain on the battery. I was lucky to get 4 years out of a battery when I lived in the midwest.

Re: Battery
Optima Ford GT red top. Didn't want to be the next person to come out of a store and not have the car start even though it started fine just before that.

Re: Battery
My battery will be five years old in a few days (October '03 build date for the Mach), so I expect to have to replace it this winter. I like that Optima Ford GT battery, so I'll probably look into getting one soon.

Re: Battery
I just got my Walmart 48 month battery replaced, had 44 months on it.Cost me $26 for another one. What can I say,it never caused me problems till last week. I guess the first 2 years were at free replacement thus the cheap replacement cost. What can I say I can't see spending $75-100 for a engine compartment thats stock, for now.I must admit the Optima's are great battery's and look good too.Just a thought(I know I'm a cheap @#$%)lol lol.
