Question Startup Trouble After Rebuild

I just rebuilt my motor after seizing a cam, got it back in the car, everything ready to go...but I'm having trouble getting it to start and run smoothly. No major upgrades were done, just forged internals. It cranks over fine, nothing wrong mechanically or timing wise because it did start a couple of times, ran fine for about a minute then died, almost like its not getting fuel pressure or to much fuel & not enough air...I just dont know. Have fuel pressure when I turn the ignition on & as far as I can tell when I'm cranking it over too. Have spark, because it did start & run on all cylinders for a minute. It's almost like its not getting enough fuel after it starts because it runs a little rough and I had to keep it at full throttle to keep it idling at 1k, or it's not getting enough air after startup, I just don't know. I think it may be: bad or clogged injectors, bad connection to the injectors(i.e. residue left on connectors after spraying intake with the solvent gun before installing), MAF, or some other bad sensor or something somewhere. If anyone has had similar problems or has any insight I would greatly appreciate any information or tips you have, I am at a loss...It does start & seems like it wants to run I just dont really know where to go from here...

Bad Cam timing.
New Tune needed.
Bad Fuel.
Too much/little Fuel/mixture.
Fuel sensor.
Vacuum leak.

Could be a few things or combo there of.

I'm gonna say that your cam timing is off, MAF not hooked up properly, or you've got a really bad vacuum leak. You need to see what your fuel pressure is for sure. Should be a mandatory gauge reading in any performance car.

Did you rebuild this motor yourself?

Re: Startup Trouble After Rebuild

Yes, I rebuilt the motor myself in my precision machine shop. Shouldn't be cam timing because when it did start it fired up and sounded great, it wouldn't do that if the cam timing was off. I've got it in a shop for diagnostic, I'll let you know what they come up with.
