Few questions: Oil change

So i have done a million oil changes... This is not a "How to" thread

What i am wondering is how many quarts of oil does a 2003 Mach need?

My 03 GT used 6... Is this the same?

Last, what kind of oil does everyone use? I have always used Mobil 1 full syn with a motocraft filter but my dad keeps saying that mobil has gone downhill..

Anyways, what kind do you all use?

Re: Few questions: Oil change

You are going to get flamed pretty bad for not searching this topic.

6-7 quarts is fine. I run 7.
Amsoil is about the best you can find
OEM Motorcraft filter is the filter to use.

6 will be fine.

I'm using mobile synthetic.

That is all.

The end.

Amen.

Re: Few questions: Oil change

Ya, i am a fan of AMSOIL. I like the K&N oil filters too. I use both on the Mach and the race car as well. actually, in the diesel truck as well. AMSOIL really does have the best oil. It can be hard to find, not as easy as mobile 1, or even royal purple, but worth it.

Re: Few questions: Oil change

Hay! I got my CB back from Cobra. All kidding aside use a good filter [no Fram please] and syn oil. I now use Valvoline 5-20 syn or Castrol 5-20.
