Re: Ain't she sweeeeet!
prick...
I've been on the fence for a few years myself. Looks great! Did you go with just springs or shocks / struts too? Glad you still have 'er after the rebuild. Happy with the fit'n'finish? If I ever make it out to the west coast again in my Mach, I hope we can meet up. I'd like to meet you, shake your hand for keeping the Mach alive & to see your Mach in person.

Re: Ain't she sweeeeet!
Man I tell you - first thanks everyone for the comps. I feel like Clint Eastwood in Grand Torino. I wish I could park it in my bedroom. I am trying so hard not to drive it and put too many miles on it because I do still have to get the camber caster plates but I ran out of money lol.

Re: Ain't she sweeeeet!
Well, in case you didn't hear about my situation, Ford paid for them for free by dropping it of their lift last year! But I know you can get them from graphics-express.com for like a couple hundred bucks and I am sure a shop can do it for a couple hundred more, but I made Ford do this and fix my other stuff that would have cost 2500 dollars so it was all done when the car was being repaired. Here are some pics of the before destruction - but I never want to look at this thread again lol! BUT I am so glad I did not let the insurance company total it - I saved her!!!

Re: Ain't she sweeeeet!
10-4 to that buddie thanks! No, I didn't do anything else yet I ran out of cash But I am going to get the caster camber plates but I have to wait because I want to do the struts and shocks too all at the same time. So I still have my reliable 1991 toyota camry daily driver that runs like a champ so I do not plan on putting many miles on the mach until I get it finalized. But it is not going to be easy to not drive her much.
AND I used to get 3 out of 5 stares from drivers. Now I get 5 out of 5 and even joggers and dogs look at it now LOL Quote:

Re: Ain't she sweeeeet!
Oh, sorry just realized I made a mistake. The damage occurred in Dec 2008, not 2009. I have driven the car for over a year and probably put on 10,000 miles. There were a few issues with the windows (sqeeking) right after the repairs but the body shop took care of that. Of course I will never know the extent of the damage but all I know is it drives just as it did before and was guaranteed that there was no frame damage because of the way it fell off the lift. The body shop has a lifetime guarantee on the work and the total bill was almost 14,000. Ford also took it back and did an alleged final inspection but like I said, I am confident that she is fine after all these miles but who knows......I guess it is a chance I decided to take oh well.

Re: Ain't she sweeeeet!
Would like to lower mine, but around here in the mountains, I have enough problems scraping at stock height. If I lowered it, I'd destroy the bottom of my car in under a week...

Re: Ain't she sweeeeet!
Thanks everyone for the additional comments - much appreciated - and yeah I did scrape the exhaust once at my bump at my house but have gotten used to the angle slowly part - PITA - but overall I have no scrape issues. I am just wondering how long it will take to mess up the tires since I couldn't afford to do the caster/camber plates right now.
