CC Plates vs Camber Adjustment Bolts

Shocks are finally shot on the Mach after 65,000 miles. So with the shock/strut replacement I plan to add a set of lowering springs.

Looking at Tokico Blues and H&R Super Sport Springs.

Question is when lowering with this combo, do you need CC plates, just camber adjustment bolts or neither.

Not going to profess to be the smartest/best suspension guy around so any help/advice/education is appreciated.

I'm not doing the mod so I want to be sure I supply the guy that will with all the parts he needs to get it done all at once.

TAI..............

Re: CC Plates vs Camber Adjustment Bolts

Those springs are a fairly large drop. Crash bolts will help get it closer, but cc plates should get it even closer to "factory" specs ( which are setup more towards improving tire wear, not handling).

If it were my car, I'd get the crash bolts and save my money. Then take advantage of the free tire rotations (few times a year, maybe less depending on your street/driving conditions and mileage) that alot of tire places offer. Heck, the extra negative camber is only going to improve turning which I must assume won't bother you.

There's my worthless .02

Good question....anybody?

Maybe I should stick with the Eibach Prokit. One of the cons I've with the Eibach kit is the ride is overly stiff..........

http://www.maximummotorsports.com/st...g_spring_rates

They're terrible struts and apparently not a good match for the super sports. Do your self a favor and get koni sport/bilstein HD/tokico Dspecs instead.

The prokit springs are progressive springs vs the linear stock ones. At their stiffest point they are still softer in the front and a bit stiffer in the rear. Only reason they ride worse is because of the lowering.

Camber bolts would probably work but you're missing out on one of the big benefits of aftermarket camber plates: increased suspension travel.
