Logging Auto Trans Temps
How do you log auto tranny temps with an SCT X3? I've got Livelink, looking for what parameters to find on the SCT when plugged into the OBD port.
And what is a normal operating temp for the trans? I read somewhere it was about 180 degrees when fluid starts flowing to the stock cooler. TAI, JT

Re: Logging Auto Trans Temps
Took the Livelink equipped computer and SCT out to give it a try.
Managed to find two tranny temp parameters to log; trans_temp and trans_temp_cnt. After warming the car up and driving it for a while, trans_temp stayed between high160s and low 180s at various speeds and throttle settings. (55 degrees OAT) Not sure what #s the trans_temp_cnt represented. Started at 385, then slowly decreased to closely match trans_temp #s. Anybody know what trans_temp_cnt means? Not a transmission expert, at what temperture do you start to be concerned with tranny overheating? 160s to 180s a reasonable operating range? Thanks JT
