315/35/17 Toyo TQ drag radials.
I havent seen many post on these so I thought id post my little review of them.
I just put a pair of these on my Mach its just your average bolt on 300rwhp 322rwtq car, and for this power level these tires are awesome, i can launch it on the street from 3k rpm and not slip a tire im very impressed with them. Im planing on goin to the track as soon as i can an ill update this with how they perform there as well. then ill finish my NX kit install and we'll see how they do with 500ftlbs of torque.lol Last edited by Chances50; 03-03-2011 at 06:22 PM. |

Re: 315/35/17 Toyo TQ drag radials.
I have the 315/35/18s and they are a great daily driver drag radial, had them on my daily driver Mach for a year (drive at least 40 miles a day) and they still have a little tread, the 315 runs a little wider than other 315s I've seen but they still fit on an 18x10. My car is a 290hp/305tq car, and at the track aired down with Pro-kit springs and shocks that wont really compress i was able to pull of a 1.8 60', that was 4K dumps they would peel a little then grab and go. Great dry and wet traction on the road... well as good of wet traction as you'll get out of a DR. All in all a good tire, not the stickiest DR you can get but they work great for a DD. Pricing for 17s is really good and pricing for 18s is average. I was about to buy another pair since mine are worn out but decided at the last minute to give 305/45/18 NT05Rs a shot due to the price. But I have nothing but good to say about the TQ!

Yes I do, normally run 20-24psi. in them on the street but I have them aired up right now. I'll post pics soon but you cant really tell they are TQs because most of the tread is gone.

this is the cheapest place ive found them, got mine for $347 shipped. Thats great new renegade, before i bought them i had many people telling me i was screwing up by not getting the MT's, i couldnt be happier with thier performance so far. |

Re: 315/35/17 Toyo TQ drag radials.
I'm running a set on my Lightning (460 RWHP) at the track (alternate with a set of Hoosier DRs) and they seem to get the job done. They seem to like a little higher pressure (24 psi vs the Hoosiers which seem to perform best for me at 18 psi). Good street manners too, just a little pricey.
