Thinking of pulling the trigger (4.75 Stroker)
Hey guys thinking about pulling the trigger on the 4.75 Stroker from MMR. Gonna be running a Posi ported eaton and 03 Mach 1 heads from my current motor. I am thinking of getting a higher compression than the stock cobra motor. What would you guys recommend? I don't have E85 in the area unfortunately so that is something that will be taken into consideration about what Comp. Ratio to go with. Just curious as to what you guys would recommend to make some decent power over the stock 8.5:1.
How much boost can be ran on a stock compression Mach 1 motor on pump gas? Any help is greatly appreciated! |

I have a buddy building a SB he got from them for his GT500. Seems to be a nice piece. Gonna be running it with a 3.6LC KB. Just thought since he is pleased with his I would pick one up since it will be used with a ported eaton for now. |

I also wouldn't waste my money on a stroker. With a Twin Screw it's not necessary.

Re: Thinking of pulling the trigger (4.75 Stroker)
After reviewing what was stated on this website, consulting with a few, and looking into MMR, I chose Livernois.
Dave Ameduri was FANTASTIC to work with, service was rapid, (received the stroker kit in six days from MI to Stuttgart, Germany), and absolutely content with the purchase. Since I had to forge the internals, I elected to go with the stroker and I don't feel it was a waste of money whatsoever. |

+3 on Modular Performance.
I've been talking with John at Modular Performance for about the past 2-3 weeks. And I can't say enough good things about him. He has been VERY informative. I'm buying most of the parts for my motor build from him and having them shipped to a local builder.

Re: Thinking of pulling the trigger (4.75 Stroker)
I got a buddy who just put in a MMR 4.75L shortblock in his 2007 mustang. He got it with an On3 Single turbo kit and its running perfectly... other than him scraping over the smallest bumps now with a stock suspension! lol

Re: Thinking of pulling the trigger (4.75 Stroker)
I've can't even recall hearing a complaint about MMR, so that says alot.
Why not an aluminator you should be well within in the safe limits running a Posi ported eaton, plus the 4.75 is only 290ci its 9ci over stock which is basically nothing.
