My Azure Blue's Correction Process
Well I took my Mach 1 to get tinted last saturday and the morons that installed the tine not only did a shitty job they also scratched and marred up the quarter panels, c pillars, decklid, spoiler, doors, rear bumper, roof and fenders. So I decided to clean it up clay it and correct the damage that was done. I am going to go tomorrow and demand a full refund for the tinting so I can take it elsewhere to get it redone. I still need the hood, front bumper, seal the finish and dress the trim, as well as the interior and clean up the wheels.

Thanks guys and yeah I was really upset when I saw the damage. I still need to go back and see about getting my money back. I posted more pics if you guys are interested in seeing them I wish I could post them all here but it would take forever with the 5 pic limit.

Re: My Azure Blue's Correction Process
That looks really good now. I don't understand how they ****ed up the paint that bad when you tint the inside glass. Did they use the outside glass as a reference to cut the tint and then apply it?

Re: My Azure Blue's Correction Process
and how did they scratch it in swirl marks like that, I would think that if they did scratch it the scratchs would be more linear. Unless he enjoyed your car so much he started grinding on it.

Re: My Azure Blue's Correction Process
Was all the damage from them trying to wash you car after the tint was done?
All crazyness aside, you did an absolutely amazing job restoring the paint...Well done sir.

Re: My Azure Blue's Correction Process
Thanks man, thats a great compliment coming from you

Yes they were using the exterior glass as a template and they were rubbing up against it and wiping it down with rags, because I saw them and told the moron to not do that anymore but it was too late by then. I even saw that they squeegeed the doors when I got it back the next day because there were straight lines left like if you were to clean your windshield at a gas station Went back today and demanded a full refund the manager told me he is going to refund me tomorrow since he deposited all the funds in the bank for the day. |

Could you do a little how to in here or in the detailing section? I really wanna learn how to do this. All I do now is claybar , wax with an orbital buffer with meguires gold class, and then use detailer to keep it up.

Re: My Azure Blue's Correction Process
Cleaned the mach up today with some Optimum Instant Detailer and tried out the Dr. Colorchip kit I received yesterday. I have to say this kit is great I recommend it to any of you guys, you get plenty of touch up paint and the microbrushes are a perfect size for getting in the chips without causing these huge blobs. The blending solution works great and removed the excess paint with ease and little to no pressure with the supplied cloth without marring my finish.

Re: My Azure Blue's Correction Process
Might have to try some of that Dr Color Chip stuff. Even after my paint work I have some new chips already!

Re: My Azure Blue's Correction Process
Well today I decided to clean the Mach and then proceed to do the finishing stage with Scholl Concepts S40 on the FLEX 14-2 using a 3M Perfect it III backing plate and 5.5" LC Hyrotech Flat Crimson Pad, since I left off with S17+. Here are the results after 3 hours of polishing. I have to say S40 is alot better then Menzerna PO85RD the look left is deeper instead of just extreme clarity, which you also get. Not only that you achieve results far faster than 85RD which I have come to learn by personal experience and from others that Scholl Concept polishes correct extremely well and achieve results in far less time than other traditional polishes. I'll try and get some sun pics up tomorrow. Excuse my nasty garage.
