Re: heat and coolant issue

Do a compression/leak down test.

If that isn't it, prepare to start changing coolant system components including heater core.

Also, get a real temperature gauge. Then, you can actually monitor your temps. The factory gauge doesn't tell you anything.

Re: heat and coolant issue

same thing happen to me except it was overheating.. i replaced the thermostat and it still did it I was shocked. But I realized I made one crucial mistake I filled the coolant by the overflow tank. Dont do that. Make sure you fill the coolant through the crossover pipe.

Re: heat and coolant issue

When you open the main radiator cap not the plastic tank cap and rev the engine does it bubble and splash? If it does you most likely blew a head gasket. I pray that's not it, for that will cost a bundle to repair.

Re: heat and coolant issue

Found the coolant crossover tube was leaking.. Replaced the oring everything is fine so far. Although heat is still Luke warm not hot. Reservoir tank is full as well. Haven't opened the main radiator cap at all, does it have a bleeder on it? The car runs great and doesn't smoke at WOT. I'll keep an update if any problems arise thanks for the help

When I put a funnel on the crossover tube with coolant in it I'll rev the engine some to dislodge some air sometimes I'll get little bubbles and sometimes big ones, also the coolant level doesn't really drop when I shut it off, it says the coolant level will drop.. That's where I'm confused why it doesn't

The coolant in the funnel doesn't drop quickly when I shut it off.. It says it will drop as soon as I shut the car off and be prepared to add coolant and it doesn't drop level
