Re: Aussie Falcon XR8 Ute commercial
That is the ugliest car (truck?) I've seen in a looooooooong time. It reminds me of a girl I worked with in the mid 80s. Her dad made here a flat bed out of a Dodge Omni. I think hers looked beter though.

Re: Aussie Falcon XR8 Ute commercial
They are everywhere down under. In 2 weeks we saw 3 right hand drive F series pick ups, and about a billion Utes. They aren't as ugly in 3D , and after a couple o' frosty ones

Re: Aussie Falcon XR8 Ute commercial
Ford's been hitting their targets dead on this year with their commercials. The new 2013 Mustang commercial is great and this one isn't far behind. And yes, I'd still take one.

Re: Aussie Falcon XR8 Ute commercial
I like the 1980 GMC Caballero I had in high school better. Agree 100% with Roy. That's one hideous looking automobile.

Re: Aussie Falcon XR8 Ute commercial
Do not understand. Had same long conversation on the GTO forums about the holden ute. I just dont get it. Its trying to do too much.
Now the falcon turbo 6 or v8 sedan... I needs a back seat and that my friends, would certainly do. But no, we get a retardedly expensive SHO and nothing on chevy's front. Thanks ford/GM, we got jipped... |

Re: Aussie Falcon XR8 Ute commercial
At least GM is using their resources with the return of the Caprice cop car, based on the Aussie Monaro platform just like the G8 and GTO. Why we can't get a rear drive platform like the Falcon is still beyond me. Also, they're now using the 5.0 (code named Miami) in the GT and GT-P versions as well as the N/A and turbo six in the sedans as well as the Ute'.

Re: Aussie Falcon XR8 Ute commercial
The Aussie version is called the Miami, and is a variation of the 5.0 we get...without the supercharger, unless you shell out for a GT-350 or a Roush.
