Re: Anyone Have a aftermarket stero???
I was planning on doing a radio "delete" and rig it up to where I run my music off my phone and just block/fill in the hole in the dash, but I hit a rough patch two years ago and I'm just barely begining to gwt back on my feet! When finances allow, I'm planning on just getting a decent double din touch acreen from Pioneer and calling it a day! Oh yeah, definitely gonna be upgrading my speakers as well, I've already got plenty of bass in my trunk!

Re: Anyone Have a aftermarket stero???
You can upgrade and install any sized amp for your setup, just know that you'll be installing new wires, that is if you're choosing to completely upgrade your whole system. You can just add an amp to your current stock system, but you'll have to get a Schose converter and tap into your wires in the area of your choosing. I went that way, but plan to upgrade my headunit and speakers (and yanking all the stock wires) later on down the road.

Re: Anyone Have a aftermarket stero???
Bought my Mach the Saturday before last had the JVC KW-ADV64BT installed the following Monday. Couldn't be happier, has the iPhone cable but I had to pay extra. I'll try to post a pic tomorrow.

Re: Anyone Have a aftermarket stero???
i had the pioneer avic-d1 and then i upgraded to the avic-x90bt a few years back. both are touch screen with direct ipod integration (displays ipod info and can control from the touch screen). newer models can connect via bluetooth with iphones and android so no cable hassles.
i recommend changing out the whole system. rip out the old amps, speakers and harness. the stock system is junk. i have alternator whine and i've searched high and low for a fix (grounding, filters, etc) and nothing has worked. im planning on getting the jl audio hd series amp someday. i think they are small enough to fit where one of the stock amps are. |

Re: Anyone Have a aftermarket stero???
You can upgrade the HU and door speakers, but if you use the stock amps (some HU's have adapter harnessez), you'll never get the full potential and sound as you would from an aftermarket set up for your doors. If you plan on installing a little aftermarket amp for the doors, well then you'd be on the rlad to yanking the stock wires out.

I got a kenwood execleron. I love it. It's got an aux Input and a USB input. I just plug my phone into the USB and plays my music and charges my phone.
