I saw the previews in the theatre.The plot looks dumb but really Who Cares about the plot when you can watch a Shelby in action for 90 mins!!!

Best Mustang movie was Gone in 60 seconds, and not not the Nick Cage POS. All the stunts are real. No fake CG crap.

It's actually a gt with Shelby KR front clip. Look at the rear shots.

The rear panel and tail lights are the same. All GT500s start out pretty much the same way non-Shelbys do, with most changes under the sheet metal. KRs were converted in Vegas, but again other than the hood and stripes and splitter it still retains its GT and GT500 origins. There were some hp improvements, but much like back in the 60s, the bump carried in to the next year and beyond.
Here's a link to a discussion on the Team Shelby site that includes the press release, and they did use two genuine Super Snakes for production. I'm quite sure a number of non-shelbys were harmed in the making of this film.

Now that I think about it... Do they widen the rear quarters for the KR or just the 1000HP car??

The wide body kit is now an option on all Shelbys, but standard on none.

I think I'll drive my silver with black stripped Shelby GT500 to the theater next week to watch a matinee. I'll park out in the middle of the parking lot away from the crowd. Should be fun.

I agree with you, I got to see the star of that movie in our local mall. She was beat to crap, but still ran.

My back bumper (and sticker) actually made it into a Shelby Magazine last year. I stuck it on there as a joke two years ago thinking it would shock all the purist ("OH MY GOD! He put a bumper sticker on a Shelby").

However most like it and I'm able to "brag" I have the World's only Shelby with a bumper sticker.
