MMR oil pump

I have a MMR oil pump with billet gears but being told I should use a stock oil pump with billet gears. Does anyone else has a MMR oil pump? If so what or have you had any problems with it? Why am I being told to use a stock pump instead?

Hit up Roy or Triangle Speed Shop for a set of their billet gears, TSS is in TX too.

Re: MMR oil pump

I thought it was a ford pump with mmr billet gears. My Mmr oil pump has ford stamped on it.

Re: MMR oil pump

It's probably a Ford housing I doubt mmr can make a housing. Accufab makes a housing but I don't know if he has any ready to ship.

MMR and TSS uses ford housings. With TSS, they machine an oring into the housing for good seal to the block.

Re: MMR oil pump

So my question is why am I being told to use my stock pump instead?

Re: MMR oil pump

If it has Ford cast into the front of it I would deburr and wash it and put it in. Does it have a steel or aluminum backing plate?
