Guys running aftermarket lower control arms
I have the factory stamped lowers on my car now and I'm moving to UPR's pro series chromoly lowers with solid bushings. I've already got adjustable UCA's with poly bushings. Am I going to notice a difference in street traction? Would I be better off with factory LCA's for street duty and the aftermarket for strip?

Re: Guys running aftermarket lower control arms
Those LCA will be better all around. The stockers just suck. Way to much deflection with the crappy rubber bushing and it binds up bad in corners. Your car will do better straight line and cornering with the aftermarket one.

Re: Guys running aftermarket lower control arms
After market LCA will improve traction and cornering. They will improve take off and predictability. All in all they will improve pretty much every dimension that you would want. I highly recommend new LCA’s as they are a great addition!
That being said, I would recommend NOT recommend doing upgraded UCA. The stock uppers bend and allow some travel. New uppers that are more solid will cause binding, popping, and bad ride quality. Worth mentioning as a lot of places sell them as a set with the LCA’s.

Re: Guys running aftermarket lower control arms
I am running UPR LCA AND UCA, non adjustable with stock springs and I have had no issues on the street or the track for well over a year teamed up with Strange 10 ways.

Re: Guys running aftermarket lower control arms
Thanks for all the replies. I already have Steeda adjustable UCA's on the car, I needed to be able to adjust pinion angle earlier on in the car's life.
Ordered the LCA's!

Re: Guys running aftermarket lower control arms
I have team z adjustable solid uppers and lowers. Lots of creaking/popping at low parking lot speeds

Re: Guys running aftermarket lower control arms
I wouldn't recommend solid LCAs and poly uppers, gonna bind a lot

Re: Guys running aftermarket lower control arms
The LCA's will be an improvement, but.....you will not like the solid bushings if you drive on the street, gonna be rough and loud, recommend poly bushings!

Re: Guys running aftermarket lower control arms
I'm using the maximum motorsports non adj. LCA with a combo of both polys and solids. There's extra road noise but nothing loud and crazy.

Re: Guys running aftermarket lower control arms
I've had UPR upper & lower on my Mach for almost 10 years with no issues and it comes off the line straight as an arrow.
