2003 mach 1 5 speed
Had a chirp noise when pushing in clutch for a while now. When i left work yesterday it felt like a misfire. Then it was squeaking while i was putting in gas and went away and came back. when i got closer to home it got worse, and when i pulled into the drive way it died. Started it up and it makes a little noise when i push in the clutch it makes that noise in the video
Watch "2003 mach 1 trans problem" on YouTube 2003 mach 1 trans problem: http://youtu.be/b8Bj3Z4YNiA I've heard throw out bearing. Any input is greatly appreciated Last edited by zfjohnson07; 01-09-2015 at 03:53 PM. |

Sounds like throw out bearing. I changed my clutch because the bearing went out. You you tube is offline.

Re: 2003 mach 1 5 speed
Throw-out bearing for sure. Just had the same EXACT issue. Had to drop the K-member due to BBK longtubes in order to get the tranny out. Replaced the clutch disk, throwout bearing, pressure plate and pilot bearing. I said to hell with doing this myself. Paid my dealer 3K to do it. Love the car, well worth it. They told me the throwout bearing had totally come apart. 107K miles on the car. Good luck!
