Engine Tap / Knock noise , Then goes away - 2003-04 Mach 1 Registry Owners Club

Alright so last night I was cruising with some friends and I was going a little faster to catch up with them.. and ended up doing a pull , once I had reached 6,000 rpm and car felt funny so pulled over. And idle seemed fine , just a little sluggish driving , pulled over at a gas station and we heard upper engine tapping , when I held it around 2-3,000 rpm
So I decided to go home and noise got worse, sounded like a rod knock so I pulled over and checked my plugs ( had previous plug issues )and nothing .. decided to limp it home and the same noise was happening then it went away , and car drove fine home, and this morning.. idk what could be the cause of this ..
Ive had this happen before but lead to a bent spark plug tip, all the plugs were fine this time.
Figured if it was a rod knock or bax lash adjustor or lifter or something it would do it all the **** time..
Any ideas ?
I'm getting normal compression ,
Only thing bad that I know are my coil Packs , idk about injectors ..

Timing chains? Take a long screwdriver, extension, or a mechanic's stethoscope and probe around the engine to pin point the location.

Vacuum hose works best for pin pointing noises. One end up to the ear and the other -::::

Sounds like an issue with a chain tensioner.

My tensioner went out on the pass side at 25k. :/

I put my stock mid pipe back on and now I actually hear everything. Lol. I heard a similar sound so I took a screw driver and probed around and listened to where the sound was coming from. For me that sound came from the part that sits on the intake manifold. Only difference is my noise doesn't go away and I primarily hear it on the passenger side.
