I'm probably going to have to go in about another 1/4-1/2" here(red arrow). It depends. I had to trim about 3/8" off the end (green arrow) to get the mold to go down between the shaker and reservoir to simulate fitment. I'll glue it back on when I'm done.

Clearance to the reservoir. If you notice the tool box liner is on top of the radiator hose. I wadded that up to get the piece held up to stock postion. My point is that there is sufficient clearance there also.

I thought about trying this awhile back. using a setup from a vortec s/c tube. but it would have come out on the drivers side and youd have to plumb it all the way around to the airbox.... but your idea's alot simpler .... kudos for the design !!! it looks good

I worked on it some last weekend and again last night. Last weekend had a setback as the epoxy ate at the foam. From what I researched, it shouldn't do that but maybe it's the brand/type of epoxy. So I had no choice but to go a route I didn't want to. I had to use body filler to build the styro mold back up to shape, which is an accepted procedure and actually a help when separating the fiberglass from the mold. Before I was going to be able to eat away the styro on the inside with acetone. The only thing is, now I have to use my dremel to cut the the part off the mold into an upper half and lower half. Then I will have to re glass it back together a couple times to get the strength back up. The bad news is I'm leaving for Miss, La. and won't be able to work on it for a long while. That sucks. I'm supposed to leave Sat. but I gotta give some quality time to the fam. All I can hope to do before I leave is get the shape and finish ready for glass laying. I really wanted to get this done!

I'll update when more progress is made.

Re: A market for shaker side inlet tract say 4" diameter to stock air box for ease?

Hey all. Just got back from Mississippi doing some tree service, etc for the Katrina effort so no internet since I was living in a converted 26ft utility trailer. Now I'm working 50 hours a week and running a lawn care on the side too. As you can see I won't have much time for now. I'll resurrect this thread when something changes. I wish I had better news. Take care. I will finish this project.
