Funniest TV show ever?

Just started re-watching 3rd Rock From The Sun - Season 1. I propose it is the funniest TV show ever!

Three examples:

[after drinking household chemicals]
Harry Solomon: Um, I've lost all feeling in the left side of my body.
[Looks at upside-down can]
Harry Solomon: Could somebody please call "116"?

D1ck Solomon: Where would we be without the agitators of the world attaching the electrodes of knowledge to the nipples of ignorance?

[after finding out his father was "the Big Head"]
D1ck Solomon: I don't know who I am anymore!
Harry Solomon: Well, your first name is D1ck, and your last name is Head...

Police Squad! (In COLOR!!)
Probably no one remembers it.
It was the precursor of the movies.
It ran 6 weeks before cancellation.
Guess it was too funny for TV.

Maybe not the funniest of all time, but Curb Your Enthusiasm makes me laugh out loud every episode.

I hate that show. That know-it-all prosecutor, the guy. He just pisses me off, I would whack his creator with a bat.

Off carry on.

-The Office-

That takes my vote. I can I can relate to some of the skits. I think that whole cast is hilarious. Also Seinfield. Classic.

That is currently my favorite show. For all the unaware, the writer of Seinfeld, Larry David, is the star and creator of this show. A little trivia, Larry David was Steinbrenner on Seinfeld episodes. It is kinda like Seinfeld with a much more obscene edge. One show dealt with Larry having a pube stuck in his throat. High comedy there!

Re: Funniest TV show ever?

Between Seinfeld and M*A*S*H. Both had top shelf writers.

I laugh out loud at The Daily Show w/John Stewart and The Colbert Report. Great writing, especially Colbert playing the ultra conservative host..."playing" the operative word there.

Anyone else find them funny? The Comedy Channel nightly.

Re: Funniest TV show ever?

Anyone watch Get A Life staring Chris Elliott? Brilliant.

Elliott's character actually dies in twelve episodes. The causes of death included being crushed by a giant boulder, old age, tonsillitis, stab wounds, gunshot wounds, falling from an airplane, strangulation, getting run over by cars, choking on cereal (he made it funny way before our president did), and simply exploding.

They just don't make TV like that anymore.
