Traded the '01 GT for a mach1

And what a difference!MUCH more power, better handling, smoother ride, fantastic brakes.I noticed the handling right off,and it dosn't have that scary feel in tight corners. This car is a LS1 fighter for sure. Glad to be owning the best mustang made yet.

I made the switch too. Went from a 01 GT Convert. The difference is night and day. You'll learn a lot of information from this site. Enjoy the Mach.

hahaha.... one of my neighbors had an '02 GT that he bought 6 months ago, saw my new ride (Ox white Mach 1) and a week later traded his in for the dark gray mach. He couldn't take someone else having a better stang in the hood now we cruz together sometimes......lol:THUMBSUP:

Congrats, 03Mach! I made the switch, too. I went to the dealer for a Mach, but before the rebates...Could not afford the Mach, so I settled on the GT with Mach1000 Stereo (hey, at least SOMETHING said "Mach" on it). 2 months later, the rebates kicked in. I was also working part-time at the Ford dealer as a sales mgr, so all that and I was able to buy the Mach! Same one I wanted 2 months earlier! I even took a $6500 hit (upside down) on the GT, but my payments were $15 more for the Mach!

Have fun!

Welcomee to the site Randy D!!! Nice to have you in the wonderful world of Mach-dom! Theres been alot of GT converts on here.

Hitman....You HAD to make the neighbor jealous ,didn't you????

The 5sp gives a work out to both legs...Had to drag the mountian bike out and take a few laps around the block every night since i got the Mach!

my GT was a auto, which was OK cause I like autos, but with 305+ horsepower I wanted the 5-speed.The Gt had a K&N FIPK and I thought it was fast, but after driving the mach the GT seemed SLOW.My wife was not too excited about getting another mustang till I pulled over during our test ride and let her drive. One trip through the gears and she looked over at me and said "lets get it"-LOL.Some bonehead in a vette cut her off on the way back to the dealer and she put him in his place(behind us).

I traded my 01 GT for my new Mach, but I'm amazed at how much power gains y'all are getting. My old GT would have smoked my Mach. I'm starting to wonder if I got a lemon or something. Yesterday going to work, I had the Mach floored in 5th gear going up a small upgrade on I 70. I finally had to downshift to 4th to get up this hill. Never had to do that in my old GT. Going to work today, I got a good run on the hill. Got up to about 75, so when it lugged down, I didn't have to downshift. Maybe I need to take the Mach back to the dealer.

Cool

Hitman is right. If you never looked under the hood, you need to do so. That's one of the first things that I did when I got mine. I'm glad that I did too because I had oil all over everything under the hood because the cap was missing. Boy was I pissed! I ranted and raved until they agreed to clean my engine and throw in a car wash to boot. They claimed it wasn't their fault and implied that I had something to do with it. Yeah right! Give me a break.
