Brake pad questions
Its time for new pads, But i dont want to buy pads that don't perform as well as the original. I've checked EBC pads, Can some one explain the difference between the greenstuff, redstuff pads. Are these good quality pads or are there any better ones out there ? I don't do any racing I just want a pad that performs well. I'm not sure if this matters but I did order the Baer decela 13" rotors for the front.

Re: Brake pad questions
greenstuff are great pads for the street and an occasional track day, i run them with Baers eradispeed 2piece rotors.
Redstuff still perform good but they need some heat in them to perform to there best my buddy with his viper found that out.

Re: Brake pad questions
overall my braking better now than it was stock, I dont really wanna point the finger at any 1 part since i did rotors, pads, and SS brake lines all at once. the brakes work great hot or cold and ive yet to experience any fade with this setup

Re: Brake pad questions
I have the HPS street pads from Hawk. They are better than stock.

Re: Brake pad questions
On the street I am using Motorcraft on the rear(OEM quality and much cheaper than Ford) and Performance Friction Z pads on the front. This combo feels about like OEM to me and way less expensive.Oh,they are wearing like iron and the rotors look perfect.Very little dust also.

Re: Brake pad questions
I love my hawk hps pads, definitely got more bite than stock and i've have never heard a single noise out of them in the few thousand miles i've put on them so far.

Re: Brake pad questions
I've been reading up on some brake pad info here, and I'm looking at getting some Greenstuff pads to replace my worn, rear, stock pads. From what I've read, it's fairly common to get the wrong pads. So I want to be sure to get the right ones the first time. When I do a search on Summit for Mach 1 brake pads, I get a different part number than when I search for a Cobra.
Mach 1: EBC-DP21156 Cobra: EBC-DP21156-2 Can anyone tell me which one is correct? Thanks!

Re: Brake pad questions
The only thing left after you install brakes is to bed the pads in and you can search here or just google it for the instructions how to do this that way your brakes will work really well.

Re: Brake pad questions
I ran EBC greens on stock rotors for a couple years. They are much better than stock pads. You do get more dust. But, IMO it's not that much more; it's managable.

Re: Brake pad questions
I dunno. I'm happy with them. And I know guys who switched from HPS pads and they liked them.
