Re: Mach 1 values

Sorry, I go with a car (or anything) is only worth what some one is willing to pay, Kbb and past sales have no meaning when your offer you get is less than what you thought it was worth. And the reality of the situation on 03-04 Mach 1's is there are more for sale than the market is buying (BUYERS MARKET). For every story of a 20-22K sale there are ALOT more for 4-5K less than that. The market says these are not worth 22-25K, if you get somewhere around that - good for you. Most $20k cars are VERY low miles and may be worth that to the buyer. These are not 1970 SCJ Mach 1's and are not holding value, (but then they didn't for about 20 years later). Slam me all you want, but the 03-04 cars are not worth that much, and the MARKET says that.

Re: Mach 1 values

The only reason I bought mine for 22,000 is because it came with a 6 year /75000 mi warrenty and only had 5,800 miles on it.. Plus it was local and the interest rate was 3.9. I almost bought one 6 months earlier. it was a 03 Asure with 2800 miles , but dealer wanted 23,500 and I met the person who bought it, the dealer woundt budge. So if your going to buy from a dealer expect a higher price anyways

(2) 2004's on carmax $18.9K with 37k and $20.5K with 30k
(1) 2003 $19.6K with 32k

This is pretty much the national average, I check it every few days. The data below is CarMax but it's pretty much the same everywhere. Mod'd cars don't bring any higher $$$ and often sit longer before a sale. If a car shows any abuse or has >50k for mileage the value DROPS. Around here they don't sit on a used lot for very long when you can find one.

About 2 years ago my neighbor traded his 04 Cobra for a new C6. When I found out I went to see how much they wanted (3 hours after it got to the dealer). Well it was there but sold already, another friend of mine traded his 03 DSG for it. The DSG was also sold and they didn't have time to detail it after it was traded in, it was sold within 1 hour. Every dealer in this area would love to have Mach1's to sell.

Yeah, but I'm sure you used an A plan or something to get that price. If not, please tell me how you saved nearly seven grand off sticker on a brand new car.

Re: Mach 1 values

This thread is funny!

I paid $24,000 for mine, used, at a year old. I'd really like a red Mach.
Kinda funny eh G?

I paid $24,000 out the door, X-plan and there was a 3500 rebate at the time.

true......that is AFTER the fact that in Jan - Apr 03 the cars were going for $2k - $5K over MSRP because they were ONLY going to make 6500 of them. I bought mine in April 03........three months later they were selling below MSRP with a $3000 rebate because they kept making them and would STILL make some more in 04...................

I bought mine to keep so it don't make any difference. However if I had known that they were going to make 15000+ instead of 6500 I would have done it differently and saved some money
