Edmunds only did a best of 13.0, But Ford has told them the auto and the manual tranny perform the same results, No loss with autos

The speed is very intoxicating, but if I'm a little slower in my Mach 1, it will give people a better chance to see my gorgeous car. Besides, I'd get little chance to use that speed anyway (though it would be nice to have).

That's beautiful but I almost think the V6 numbers are more impressive....Regardless, Very exciting cars, both of them.

I've always questioned M/T and their numbers. Awhile ago they said an SRT-4 did a 14.2 1/4 mile @ 99 mph, but did 0-100 in 13.7 seconds. How did that make any sense?

Now according to those to stats it takes the car 2.5 seconds to accelerate 10 mph from 100? Not buying it. I want to see the real numbers in person when they're out. I have no doubt they'll hit 12's stock with that motor though.

60-0 braking is impressive. I dont see why so many people think the mustang needs an IRS. Its outhandling the likes of camaro and challenger with an SRA and both those cars are IRS equipped.

That's after you tack on a bunch of options that you could easily live without. You can get your 412 hp GT starting at just under 31K if you're willing to live without the fluff. Performance package might be worth a look though....it'll set you back a little over a grand I believe. The rest isn't worth it IMO unless you've got money to blow and are trying to make your 5.0 ownership experience a cushy one.

Of course.......this is all assuming that you can avoid having to deal with a dealership trying to execute "market value adjustments" on the final price of your new GT.
