Re: What size wheels do you have

I got 18's to replace my stock wheels, and went back to 17's. Ride is much nicer on the 17's

Re: What size wheels do you have

I just went with a 17X9 rim with a 265 tire. I would have liked a 275 but they don't make my tire in that size. I don't need a monster tire just for the street.

Re: What size wheels do you have

18" Magnum Wheel Replicas w/ BFG KDW2s. The ride is a little different, but not bad. The road just seems a little more raw or something, certainly nothing out of control for my everyday driving. I like it. I like my Stang to be a little gnarly. Seriously though, I think my tires want to veer a little on rough roads, but I'm talking roads under construction where they grind them all up. I wouldn't put my 17s back on. The 18s feel pretty good to me, but I just drive in town and on highways to go here and there (car shows, woot!!) I don't know if you're planning on racing.

Note that I don't take the Mach out in the Winter. I have been in rain and the wheels and tires do the job just fine.

Re: What size wheels do you have

I can't vote because I use 17's and 18's! 17's for racing, 18's for the street. But I am considering going to the 17x10.5" on all 4 corners on the street.

I have the original 17" Mach wheels, love them and don't plan on changing them.

Get ready for more road noise and a harsher ride..with the hill climbing you do, it would be cool though..

Re: What size wheels do you have

i run 17's one cuz the tires are cheaper and also the style rim i got looks good in a 17 and also a 18, there are a couple style rims that are a must on having them as a 18, like saleen and FR500 (if you do FR500 in black) imho

Re: What size wheels do you have

17's all the way around. I stayed with them because the car has been lowered using springs, so no need to fill in the wheel well. Plus with the open wheels, like my FR500's, there isn't such a noticable gap between the brake rotors and the rim of the wheel as there is with the larger wheels.

Aren't you being a little prejudice towards those of us who have wheels smaller than 17s? Like 12" daytons....

I like the larger gap between there so I can use the washmit to clean inside of the wheel!
