Oil under coil covers

Hey guys... I problem but I'm pretty sure I know what it is just wanted to get some input first. I noticed a couple days ago that my mach hasn't been making as much power under boost as it has been but it still makes boost fine. So I've been trying to figure out why... Today I noticed oil leaking down the side driver side valve cover. So i took off the coil cover and the spark plug all the way to the back is covered in oil. The spark plug is still tight and the engine is running fine. So I'm thinking its just the seal under the valve cover that went bad even though it looks fine. I don't know what else would cause this over one spark plug. And could this be why I'm loosing power under boost?

Check you catchcan and crankcase ventilation system.
I had the same problem. OIl under the coil covers and had excessive oil (dumping out every day or two 1/3 full) in the catchcan/seperator (switched to a catch can after a while).

Checked CR and #8 was low. smoke puff, pause, smoke puff, pause. Without tearing apart the motor (no Mulah), we guessed it was a fried piston ring.

Re: Oil under coil covers

got the valve cover out already. Going to replace the seals tomorrow. Catch can is fine same with ventilation. Could this leak also be the power loss during WOT?
