Storm of the Century

So all I keep hearing is omg, we're all gonna die!!! ahhhhh! about this storm moving through the plains and into the northeast as i write this. I'm at work in a rural county of mid michigan where the wind has picked up substantially, and I've already been plowing through 1 foot snow drifts. Anyone else in the crosshairs of this storm? Anyone felt it's "wrath" yet? haha, we're used to this in Michigan.

Re: Storm of the Century

we got hit pretty hard here, 3-4' drifts in the middle of the roads, i cant get out of my drive way cause snow is high, not a normal thing for this area, we rarely get over 2-3"s at a time, they are saying we got a little over 14" in less that 24hours..

Sunny day here. Mowed & edged lawn. Took Mustang through emissions and bought tabs for this year. What a great day in the Northwest.

Business as usual in NW Ohio. 2 ft drifts, blowin' like a sum *****, colder than a witche's tit. I want mustang season...

This blows. I got woke up by 25mph ice hitting my windows this morning at 4:30. After 24 years here in Texas, I can't remember seeing ice so thick on the streets. I'm going to work tomorrow though if I have to walk....or skate

Re: Storm of the Century

Got home at 1:00 am last night and it was only raining. Knew it was gonna turn to ice so I planned to just sleep in. Around 8:00 this morning I woke to the sound of tires spinning and looked out my window to see a F150 had come thru my yard, taken out some shrubs and if not for the huge live oak tree would have creamed my work truck. Got the Blazer and pulled him out of the yard. Went to the store awhile ago and same F150 is now in a ditch along the highway with more damage than it had when I pulled it out.

Re: Storm of the Century

We got lucky in Virginia last night, just rain here. Just missed me again.
Got 8 inches of snow last week but thats been about it this year. Thats fine with me. Last year we were the bulls-eye of every storm on the east coast.

Good luck to the rest of y'all, be safe.

Probably half a foot of snow here. Negative single digit temperatures and that's without the wind factored in. Went out in the jeep last night and it doesn't even look like the same state. Feels like we are in Siberia or Alaska.

Re: Storm of the Century

The name should be changed to "This Week's Storm of the Century."

We have about 50 visitors up from Alabama and Texas at work. What a cruel fate - be told to hunker down and watch hotel cable because today's part of the meeting is cancelled.....

Re: Storm of the Century

We had the same ice storm in 2009. Power out everywhere and trees down. From this storm luckily all we have is strong winds @ 30 degrees, snow flurries and peeks of sun.
