A Few 9.5" Intake Pics
This is an intake Im working on for a M1R member. Most of the work to the casting is done in a milling machine. All the plates are cut in a water-jet machine. It will have a 3 pc. bottom cut from 3/16" aluminum. Ill add more pics when its done.

Re: A Few 9.5" Intake Pics
Posi used to have a "race port" but after dyno testing it he offered refunds. Here's what steg recommends: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KapYcktbsyw

Re: A Few 9.5" Intake Pics
That's a great looking intake, Roy. Looks alot like the original ones I was doing back in 2002 and I can tell you it's going to work well. Here's an old dyno comparison I did VS stock. Yours should be very similar. Notice no loss in torque.
A picture of version 1. I think I'm up to version 10, lol. |

Re: A Few 9.5" Intake Pics
What are you expecting out of this? More power up top? More torque down low? How much for this service? I've got a 69 and plan to put a cobra engine in it. I'm used to the carbed engine and am new to the 4 valve. I know the up sides to long and short runners, but, how does this compare to a stock intake?

What is factory length? And where do you measure it at? (inside radius or outside?)

Re: A Few 9.5" Intake Pics
What is the benefit of having the top of the runners covered like stock after you grind the as opposed to leaving it open? And just welding the sides and leaving the valley in the middle. I'm about to weld mine up, its a 10.5
